Hae-Duck Joshua Jeong, Ph.D.


Hae-Duck Joshua Jeong is a professor in the Department of Computer Software at Korean Bible University, Seoul, South Korea. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is the author or co-author of more than 100 research publications, including nineteen patents. He has also been the co-chair of NeoFusion'2012-2013, IMIS’2009-Present, FINGNet2011-Present and MUE’2007 as well as a member of numerous technical program committees for international conferences. Dr. Jeong is on the editorial board and a reviewer for various domestic and international journals. He is a co-founder of the International Workshop on Future Internet and Next Generation Networks, the corresponding guest editor of special issue on Advances on Mobile Collaborative Systems of Computer Science and Information Systems (ComSIS), on Mobile Collaboration Technologies and Internet Services of ComSIS, and the guest editor of special issue on Performance Modeling and Simulation for Future Mobile Networks of Mathematical and Computer Modeling(MCM). He received the Best Professor Award from Korean Bible University in 2010 and the Best Paper Award from the International Workshop on Intelligent, Mobile and Internet Services in Ubiquitous Computing 2009. Other awards include research grants from Telecom New Zealand Ltd., and conference travel grants from the IEEE New Zealand South Section, Telecom New Zealand Ltd. and the University of Canterbury. Dr. Jeong also won the Garden Award in 2000 and 2002 from the Christchurch Beautifying Association, New Zealand. He named in the TOP 100 SCIENTISTS 2010 from the International Biographical Center and Marquis Who’s Who in the World 2010-2012. His research interests include teletraffic modeling, stochastic simulation, multimedia telecommunication networks, intrusion detection system, and sensor networks.
